What is Linearz and how does it slim the face?
Linearz is a focused ultrasound device that delivers energy in a linear pattern into the subcutaneous fat layer. The heat disrupts targeted fat cells, which the body clears gradually, while also stimulating mild tightening. It is used mainly for double chin, jowl fullness and a heavier lower face. Most patients need 1–3 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart, with results developing over 1–3 months. Results vary by fat volume and skin quality.

Understanding Linearz
Contouring beneath the surface
Linearz focuses ultrasound energy into the fat layer rather than the skin surface. By heating fat in continuous lines, it aims to reduce localised fullness while gently tightening surrounding tissue. Treated fat cells are cleared naturally over the following weeks.
It is chosen when facial fullness — not only skin laxity — is blurring the jawline. Where hollowing or volume loss is the concern, fat reduction would be the wrong choice, so assessment matters.

Linearz is not a weight-loss treatment, and very slim or hollow faces are usually better served by volume restoration.
Safety first
Possible side effects
A deep warm sensation during treatment and mild swelling, redness or tenderness afterwards are common and usually settle within a few days. Uncommon risks include bruising, temporary numbness, firm areas under the skin and, rarely, temporary nerve weakness or excessive fat loss leading to hollowing. Careful mapping and conservative energy help reduce these risks.
Not performed during pregnancy, over active infection, or directly over fillers placed recently. Please tell us about previous injections or threads.

Does Linearz hurt?
Most people feel deep warmth or brief prickling. Numbing and adjustable energy keep it tolerable for most patients.
When will I see results?
Fat reduction develops gradually over 1–3 months as the body clears treated cells.
Can I fly after treatment?
Yes. Mild swelling or tenderness usually does not affect travel.
Is fat reduction lasting?
Treated fat cells are cleared, but remaining fat can still enlarge with weight gain, so stable weight helps maintain results.
Linearz or Inmode?
Both can reduce small fat pockets. Linearz uses focused ultrasound in fewer sessions; Inmode
uses radiofrequency over a short course. Your doctor will suggest the one that suits your anatomy.
Will it make my face look older?
Over-reducing fat can cause hollowing, which is why we map carefully and avoid areas that support youthful volume.
