What does Inmode do for the face?

Inmode treatments use radiofrequency energy for two goals. Forma gently warms the skin to stimulate collagen and improve firmness, while Mini FX targets small, stubborn fat pockets such as a double chin or heavy jowl area. Treatments are usually repeated weekly or every few weeks for 3–5 sessions, with downtime limited to mild redness or swelling. Changes are gradual, and results vary with skin quality and fat volume.

Understanding Inmode

Tighten skin, refine contour

Inmode is a radiofrequency platform with different handpieces. Forma uses bipolar radiofrequency with temperature monitoring to heat the dermis to a comfortable, controlled level, encouraging collagen remodelling. Mini FX combines radiofrequency with electrical pulses aimed at small fat deposits under the chin and along the jaw.

It suits people whose concern is a softening contour from a mix of mild skin laxity and localised fullness. For body areas, we offer Body Inmode with larger applicators.

Inmode may suit you if you notice

  • Fullness under the chin
  • A heavier jowl or blurred jawline
  • Skin that feels less firm
  • Puffiness of the lower face that doesn't change with weight
  • A wish for gradual refinement without injections
Our approach

A contouring course

We choose handpieces and session count according to whether fat, laxity or both are shaping your lower face.

01

Forma tightening

Temperature-controlled bipolar radiofrequency for firmer skin and smoother texture.

02

Mini FX fat reduction

Targeted treatment for small fat pockets under the chin and along the jawline.

03

Combined sessions

Forma and Mini FX in one visit when both skin and fat contribute.

04

Lifting add-ons

Paired with Ulthera or Linearz when deeper lift or further fat reduction is planned.

05

Short-stay planning

Weekly sessions can fit a 2–3 week visit, with maintenance at home or on your next trip.

Is it right for you?

Good candidates

  • Mild to moderate fullness under the chin or jawline
  • Early skin laxity in the lower face
  • Patients wanting gradual results without injections
  • Visitors staying long enough for 2–3 sessions
Larger fat volumes or significant laxity may need a different approach; your doctor will explain realistic expectations.
Safety first

Possible side effects

Warmth, temporary redness and mild swelling are common and usually settle within hours. Mini FX can cause mild tenderness or a tingling sensation for a day or two. Uncommon risks include small burns, blistering or temporary nodules. Continuous temperature monitoring and conservative settings help reduce these risks.

Not suitable during pregnancy, for people with pacemakers or implanted electronic devices, or over metal implants in the treatment area.

FAQ

Inmode questions, answered

Does Inmode hurt?
Forma feels like a warm massage. Mini FX adds a brief zap or muscle twitch. Most patients find both comfortable without numbing.
How many sessions will I need?
Typically 3–5 sessions. Some patients notice firmer skin after the first few, while contour change develops over weeks.
Is there downtime?
Mild redness or swelling usually fades within hours, so you can continue with plans the same day.
Can Inmode remove a double chin?
It can reduce small fat pockets for many patients, but it is not liposuction. Results are gradual and vary with fat volume and skin quality.
Inmode or Ulthera?
Inmode works on skin firmness and small fat pockets over several sessions; Ulthera lifts deeper tissue in one session. They can be combined.
Is it safe for all skin tones?
Radiofrequency does not target pigment, so it is generally suitable for a wide range of skin tones.
