Can fillers lift your eyebrows without surgery?

Yes, within limits. Hyaluronic acid filler placed under the outer brow and temple restores lost volume so the brow sits slightly higher and the upper eyelid looks less hooded. The lift is modest — usually a few millimetres — and suits mild to moderate brow descent rather than heavy excess skin. Results are visible straight away and typically last 9–12 months. It is often combined with a small Xeomin brow-lift injection.

Understanding brow descent

Why brows drop over time

With age, the fat pad beneath the outer eyebrow thins, the temples hollow and the forehead skin loosens. The tail of the brow loses its support and slowly descends, crowding the upper eyelid and making the eyes look heavier or more tired than you feel. Habitual frowning and strong brow-depressor muscles can add to the downward pull.

Brow lift fillers replace that lost scaffolding at the outer brow and, where needed, the temple. Because brow descent often comes with forehead lines and frown lines, our doctors assess the whole upper face before suggesting a plan.

Signs brow fillers may help

  • The tail of your brow sits lower than it used to
  • Upper eyelids look hooded, especially at the outer corners
  • Hollowing at the temples or just under the brow bone
  • You lift your forehead to open your eyes, causing lines
  • Eye makeup looks crowded or smudges onto the lid
Significant excess eyelid skin or a markedly low brow is better addressed by an oculoplastic surgeon — we will tell you honestly if filler is not the right tool.
Our approach

A tailored upper-face plan

We choose the product, depth and technique for your anatomy — often combining small steps rather than relying on volume alone.

01

Outer brow support

A firm, lifting hyaluronic acid filler is placed deep beneath the tail of the brow, usually with a blunt cannula, to give gentle upward support.

02

Temple restoration

Softening hollow temples lifts the lateral brow indirectly and creates a smoother upper-face contour. See our forehead fillers for related contouring.

03

Xeomin brow lift

A few units of Xeomin relax the muscle that pulls the brow tail down, letting it rise slightly. Often combined with filler for a balanced result.

04

Product choice

We use Juvéderm, Restylane or Belotero products matched to the depth and support needed — firmer gels deep, softer gels near the surface.

05

Skin tightening option

For loose forehead skin, energy-based lifting such as Ulthera can add a subtle lift to the brow area over several months.

What to expect

A fresher, more open eye area

Drag the handle to compare. Brow support creates a subtle lift that makes the eyes look more rested rather than changed.

Is it right for you?

Good candidates

  • Mild to moderate drooping of the outer brow
  • Hollow temples or a deflated brow bone
  • Hooding that makes eyes look tired
  • Visitors who want a non-surgical option with little downtime
  • Patients who prefer a reversible, adjustable approach
Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection near the area, or with a history of severe allergy to filler components.
Safety first

Possible side effects

Common, temporary effects include swelling, tenderness, small bruises and slight asymmetry in the first few days. Uncommon risks include lumps, filler migration, infection and a delayed inflammatory reaction.

The brow and temple contain important blood vessels, so a rare but serious risk is vascular occlusion, which can affect the skin or, very rarely, vision. Our doctors reduce this risk with detailed anatomical knowledge, blunt cannulas where appropriate, slow low-pressure injection and small volumes, and we keep hyaluronidase on hand at all times.

Tell us about previous brow or eyelid surgery, fillers or threads, blood-thinning medication or supplements, and any history of cold sores or autoimmune disease.

FAQ

Brow Lift Fillers questions, answered

How much lift can I expect?
Filler gives a modest lift of a few millimetres at the outer brow plus a fresher, less hooded look. It cannot match a surgical brow lift for heavy excess skin, and results vary with anatomy.
Is brow filler painful?
Most patients describe pressure and mild stinging. We apply numbing cream and the filler contains lidocaine, so the area becomes numb quickly during treatment.
Can I fly home after brow fillers?
Yes. Most patients fly within 1–2 days. Swelling may increase slightly on long flights, so stay hydrated and avoid pressing on the area. We suggest treating at least a few days before departure so we can review you.
How long do the results last?
Typically 9–12 months, depending on the product, your metabolism and how much movement the area has. Many patients choose a smaller top-up after a year.
Filler or Xeomin for a brow lift?
Xeomin lifts by relaxing the muscle pulling the brow down; filler lifts by restoring support. Volume loss responds to filler, muscle pull to Xeomin, and many patients benefit from both. Your doctor will explain which fits your face.
Can brow fillers be reversed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if the result is not as planned or if a complication occurs.
